Trademark registration in the UAE converts your brand name or logo from a simple business identifier into a legally protected asset. It grants you the exclusive right to use your mark across all Emirates. This legal protection, governed by Federal Decree-Law No. 36 of 2021, is the definitive way to secure your brand identity, prevent imitation, and build commercial value when registering a brand name in Dubai or any other emirate.
We show you how to check trademark availability in UAE through a detailed clearance search. We use the official UAE trademark search Ministry of Economy database and other professional tools. This confirms your mark is available and not in conflict with existing trademarks, which is essential to avoid an immediate rejection and loss of application fees.
We compile and submit your application through the official UAE Ministry of Economy trademark portal. This includes correctly classifying your goods and services according to the UAE trademark classes list. We ensure all required documents are in order.
An MoE examiner reviews your application for compliance with UAE law, distinctiveness, and potential conflicts. The examiner will either approve the application or issue an objection. We handle all communication on your behalf.
Upon approval, your trademark is published in the Official Trademark Gazette and two local Arabic newspapers. This begins a 30-day opposition period as defined by UAE trademark law, where third parties can legally challenge your registration.
If no opposition occurs, the final registration fees are due. Once paid, the Ministry of Economy issues the official Certificate of Registration. Your trademark is now legally protected for 10 years.
| Fee Component | Government Fee (AED) | Important to Know |

A Dubai-based e-commerce brand tried to register their name but received an objection from the MoE. The examiner argued the name was too descriptive of the services offered and therefore not eligible for protection.
We analyzed the objection and prepared a detailed legal response. We argued that the brand had acquired distinctiveness through extensive use in the market. We compiled and submitted evidence of their market presence, including marketing materials, sales figures, and customer recognition.
The Ministry of Economy accepted our arguments, withdrew the objection, and approved the trademark for registration. This secured the brand’s legal protection and preserved its valuable identity.
We are one of the leading trademark registration companies in the UAE. Our process is built on direct experience with the Ministry of Economy. With over 350 trademarks successfully filed in the last 3 years, we have a proven track record.
